I was totally inspired by a visit to our friends’ new home in Pennsylvania last weekend. They have three adorable children and a home that features an abundance of kid-friendly spaces. From a learning nook between the two older kids’ bedrooms, to a backyard designed for romping, the home is a fantastic place for these little ones to grow up.

I’ve been mulling over bedroom and playroom designs ever since. Here’s a little taste of my research.

Aren’t these colors great? And, a slide in my room? Yes, please.

This family lives in a converted barn. So cool. You can check out the whole house at Apartment Therapy.

Check out that puppet theater.

I can’t say enough about this one.

What do you think? What makes a perfect playroom? The colors, the toys, the textiles, the art supplies? The special spot to read or hideout?

Thanks for stopping by!
