I’m back! What a whirlwind it has been, friends. The Tall Guy and I were married on Saturday and it was, well, it’s hard to put into words. When the pics are available, you can be sure I will expound with gratitude on the magic of the day.
For now, a look back (to April)…
Bear with me. This post is about to look like a MySpace page circa 2005. (Mostly due to yellow-ish tinted Vegas pics – thanks, casinos.)
I put Vegas on my life list when I realized pretty much everybody I knew had been and I hadn’t. Thankfully, I’m blessed with good, good friends who took me to that adult playground to celebrate my upcoming nuptials. The party planner: my now sister-in-law, Susannah. And man, did she plan.
All in all, a Life List item I’d be happy to cross off twice.
My friends also threw me a hometown sha-bang for those who didn’t make it to the cross-country party. I’m so lucky.
Signs you are loved:
1- Your sister-in-law to be decorates your hotel room with bridal party goodies, including champagne and chocolates on the pillows and a buffet of baked goods and Bacardi.
2- Your BFF sponsors your trip.
3- A group of lovely ladies asks you all weekend, “What do YOU want to do?”
4- Your hometown friends pamper you with a manicure and wine tasting extravaganza, not to mention an incredible meal.
5- Your BFF from college drives across the country for the event.
I could go on. I’ve been wined and dined and hugged and received showers of girlie goodness that this bride-to-be will never forget. I’m so grateful. And I can’t WAIT to reciprocate.
